The foundation of any good website is content. Content keeps visitors interested and gives search engines the basis for your site’s rankings. You want great content that people want to read and share, but that’s easier said than done, especially when you consider how much content is already out there.
Still, as long as you keep these elements in mind, you can write great SEO content.
1.Write catchy titles
Titles are the first things readers see. Your titles should be catchy and instantly grab a reader’s attention. There are numerous ways to do this. You can give a direct command, ask a thought-provoking question, or offer a basic summary of the body. How-to titles are popular as they point to the human need for self-improvement, but make sure the how-to title highlights the benefit or final result.
2.Watch your keyword usage.
Keywords are the basis of search engine optimization. They get you noticed by search engines and hopefully increase your rankings. Unfortunately, many copywriters forget that keywords are only a small part of the content.
Use your keyword intelligently without sacrificing your content’s quality. Stuffing keywords not only sounds spammy and hard to read, but also causes your site to rank lower. Google’s algorithm picks up on keyword stuffing and punishes accordingly.
3.Link to relevant content.
Blogs give you a chance to link to other pages that contain relevant content or that might interest your readers. You can add links as a form of reference or to fully explain a topic that you could only touch upon. While it seems counter intuitive to point your readers to someone else’s website, adding links will only add more value and credibility to your website and ensures that you have your readers’ best interests at heart. Just create your links so that they open in a new tab.
This is also an opportunity for you to provide backlinks to product pages, blog entries, or other pages on your site, keeping people on your website longer.
In the past year, Google has put out various algorithm updates. The Freshness update aimed to provide users with the newest, up-to-date content available. It’s your responsibility to regularly put out fresh, new content. Once or twice a week is substantial for any SEO company.
5.Focus on quality.
It’s nice to have links and keywords and a cool title, but none of that matters if your writing is trashy and shallow. Keep your content relevant to your readers’ interests. Aim to teach your readers something new. Don’t be afraid to do the research. Above all, make sure your writing is clear and free of errors. Take the time to proofread and edit what you write.
